Bill Messerschmidt is Principal Analyst at Messerschmidt Safety Consulting in Birmingham, Alabama and is a former police accident reconstructionist. 

Mr. Messerschmidt holds full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR), and he has completed over 1000 hours of training in accident investigation, accident reconstruction,and highway traffic safety.

He is the author of several technical papers on accident investigation and reconstruction, and has been an invited speaker on the subject of Event Data Recorders.  He has been qualified as an expert in the areas of accident reconstruction, driver response, and ECM technology by State and Federal Courts from New Mexico to Pennsylvania.
