The ELITE Difference • Program Details
Executive Leadership Institute for Technical Professionals & Engineers
Tulsa, Oklahoma * Post Oak Lodge
The Challenge: More and more engineers and technical professionals find they are promoted to management and leadership positions. This requires them to use knowledge and skill sets for which they have not been trained.
The Solution: ELITE. It gives them the necessary skill sets to excel in these new positions as a leader and manager. ELITE students will leave the program better equipped to perform at a higher level with the new knowledge and experience gained.
With career-focused learning experiences, ELITE students cover the following eight modules which meet just once a month. The students must complete all eight modules before receiving the Certificate of Completion.
ELITE is an entire leadership development process, a process known as...
The ELITE Difference!
- A comprehensive, highly intensive, participatory, application oriented leadership development process.
- Even though ‘Communication for Success’ is the first module topic, the students work on their written and oral communication skills throughout the entire program with presentations and reports.
- The participants are expected to apply the tools received throughout the program to their own organization through written reports and presentations. They will also develop their own unique leadership journal and toolkit.
- Assessment of learning outcomes performed using a Holistic Critical Thinking Model. This system is objective and graded by each individual’s improvement/progress, in addition to providing for accountability for each student.
- ELITE Faculty are top practitioners in their field, selected for their subject matter expertise, industry experience and communication skills as well as their own personal insight into leadership skills and techniques specifically for the technical professional.
- The program’s format and structure maximizes the student’s ability to apply, practice and retain the information learned from each module.
- The one-day orientation (at the beginning of the program) allows the students to go through a guided self-assessment and reflection to identify their own strengths, leadership and communication style. Knowing their own style, and understanding other styles, helps the student become a more effective leader.
- Individual sessions with the program facilitators are given to each student for each module. This session is designed for review of their progress to date (written assignments, class participation, presentations, and two block projects) and to discuss any additional needs, issues, or concerns they may have.
- Students are assessed, evaluated, and a transcript is recorded and certificate of completion awarded. Certificate with Honors is awarded to those receiving an overall grade of 93 or above.
- The ELITE student will leave the program better equipped to perform at a higher level with the new knowledge and experience gained.
The proven track record of ELITE's success stands alone. It is measured by the success of the participants after they have graduated from the program. The majority of ELITE graduates have received accelerated promotions within their respective organizations. This, in itself, speaks for the success of ELITE!
