ELITE is not just another leadership workshop or series of leadership-style seminars.

ELITE was designed and developed by successful technical professionals for technical professionals. These professionals identified the skill sets needed and the challenges faced by engineers and technical personnel rising to leadership roles within their respective organizations.

ELITE’s eight course modules are addressed from the standpoint of what an effective leader needs to know and understand about these topics and the importance of each.
Communication Skills (i.e. written and oral)
Effective Leadership Skills (i.e. mentoring & successful work team building)
Change Management (i.e. understanding people and change & leading change)
Risk-Intelligent Organization/IT Security Risk Assessment (i.e. risk management)
Marketing Concepts (i.e. achieving strategic organization goals using marketing)
Financial Analysis (i.e. economic outcomes & operations and processes)
Negotiating (i.e. dynamics of the bargaining process & assessing your negotiation style)
Leading the Global Organization (i.e. recognizing & evaluating global markets)

In addition to these topics, the program is, in a sense, customized for each student. During the program, emphasis is placed on specific needs of the individual (both self identified and employer identified). Some of these needs include listening skills, improving communication skills (both written and oral presentations); or perhaps they just need better self confidence to perform like a leader.

The module facilitators are industry leaders and top practitioners in their field. They have been selected for their subject matter expertise, industry experience and communication skills as well as their own personal insight into leadership skills and techniques specifically for the technical professional. For instance, one facilitator, Dr. Ray Morrison, works for Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA and wrote a book on Leadership Skills for Engineers.

Individual coaching sessions with each student during the program. The students are given their grades on the written reports and oral presentations at this time.  Assistance is given to address those specific areas which need improvement.

Upon graduation, the individual will be able to write excellent reports and give better presentations because of the individual grading and attention they have received throughout the program.

Students have access to module facilitator and administrators throughout the next 3-4 weeks while working on each module’s project.

The program is held at the
Post Oak Lodge, located just seven miles from downtown Tulsa.  The Post Oak Lodge creates a unique residential learning environment unmatched in the area.

ELITE is a complete educational and training development process through which technical professionals and engineers learn to be leaders.
